The 13th annual Diamond Crystal Awards honored the Men & Woman of Drag in Arizona

The 13th annual Diamond Crystal Awards presented by Charlie’s Phoenix and produced by Drag Confidential took place on Friday, July 29, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Diamond Crystal Awards award celebrate achievements of Drag Artist and members of the community throughout the year. This year’s award show was held at Charlie’s Phoenix, the largest gay bar in the state of Arizona and featured two very special guest. The 2022 National Diamond Crystal Award winner for Performance of the Year Elishay D’Witshes and the 2022 National Diamond Crystal Award winner for Female Impersonator of the Year Lindsay Paige both performing for the first time in Phoenix, Arizona. The award show also featured performances from Phoenix Pride Royalty Desiree Demornay, Roman Holiday and Te D DeMornay, rounding out the cast of entertainers Missy D Grade.

The Diamond Crystal Awards gave out 18 total awards with 4 of them being Award of Excellence awards to community members who contributed to the success of Drag in Arizona. The big winners of the night were eight-time national title holder and the reigning Miss Phoenix Pride Desiree DeMornay taking both the Female Impersonator of the Year and Entertainer of the Year award, and newcomer Veronica Rose taking the Humantarian of the Year & Chantelle L Douglas Performance of the Year award for her achievements in raising money for the community and her performance at the Miss Phoenix Pride Pageant this past March.

The Lady Christian was honored with the Miss Ebony Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement award for her decade career of success contributing to the Imperial Court of Arizona as Empress VI raising thousands of dollars for local non-profit organizations and continuing to provide an open stage for entertainers throughout the valley and country.

Drag Confidential formerly known as ArizonaDrag.com has produced the awards since 2009 and all awards are based on a nomination process chosen by the public with the public also choosing the winners via their website.
