Mr. and Miss. Continental Cancelled, Elite & Plus Divisions scheduled for Fall 2020

The owner of The Continental Pageantry System Jim Flint has announced the cancellation of Mr. and Miss. Continental. The pageant was scheduled for Labor Day Weekend September 2020.

“We have always been on the cutting edge of pageantry; this has been the hardest decision I had to make” said Flint

The announcement came during a LIVE Facebook broadcast on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 via The Continental Pageantry Facebook.

Furthermore, Mr. Flint announced that he plans to hold Miss Continental Plus and Miss Continental Elite on Labor Day Weekend, September 5, 6, 7, 2020. The original date was scheduled for Easter Weekend April 12, 13, 14, 2020.

Mr. Flint mentioned that all safety precautions will be in placed based on the CDC guidelines, The City of Chicago and the State of Illinois. A date of August 1, 2020 has been set for the final decision on if The Continental Elite & Plus Pageants will take place. If they are given the go ahead, seating will be limited and any contestant who isn’t comfortable with competing is eligible to compete for the following year.

The reigning Mr. Continental Desi M. Andrews and Miss. Continental Vanessa Van Cartier will remain as the National Title Holders for the system until September 2021. All contestants already qualified for Mr. and Miss. Continental will remain qualified for September 2021.
