Pageant update

Jan 2, 2022

Good evening . We are just two weeks away from the 2022 Miss Gay America pageant. Over the past two years we have had to adjust to changes as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to evolve. We have recently been in communication with the theater to discuss safety protocols for the pageant to be held January 17 - 20 at the Robinson in Little Rock, AR.

We encourage anyone attending to get the vaccine / booster prior to arriving, for your safety and the safety of other attendees.

All audience and staff must wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose at all times while in the theater. This includes entertainers while sitting in the audience. Face masks are required regardless of your vaccination status. Anyone who does not comply with the mask protocols will be removed by the theater staff.

Entertainers should wear a mask or face shield while in the dressing rooms. We understand they will be removed while hair and makeup are being applied. The dressing rooms are spacious, we ask that everyone maintain a safe distance while preparing. Masks and face shields do not have to be worn while performing on stage.

There will be health check stations for temperature checks backstage. Covid testing will be available for staff and contestants. We ask that if anyone develops symptoms during the pageant to get tested. Anyone who tests positive for Covid-19 should be responsible and quarantine.

We want to have a safe event for everyone. Please be responsible and respectful.

Thank you

Michael and Rob
